Breaking Into Product Design: A Fireside Chat

Curious how people actually break into product design? Join Permias New York for an evening with two designers from Ramp. Flora Guo is an incoming Design Engineer at Ramp. She was previously a Design Engineer at Vercel, where she worked on the v0 app, website, and design system, and a founding Design Engineer at Paradigm. She has also designed brands and digital products for startups and public companies. She studied Biomedical Engineering at Waterloo and Cognitive Science & Information at the University of Toronto. Chris Pramana is a Product Designer II at Ramp, where he designs AI agents for accountants. Before Ramp, he worked in strategy and ops at Ghost, was one of 37 design fellows at 8VC, and co-founded a drone startup in Indonesia. He holds a BS in Business Administration (Finance) from USC. Come for honest talk on career paths, portfolios, and moving into design from non-design backgrounds, followed by Q&A and networking.
