Right in the middle of TIFF, MAGNIFIC brings together filmmakers, creators, and creative technologists for an afternoon unlike anything else happening in Toronto this week. To start, a Magnific Original debuts here first. A work that couldn't exist without AI...built frame by frame with total creative control, and shown publicly for the very first time. Its creator, Javi Lopez, takes the stage to pull back the curtain on how it was made, and what it took to make it his. Then, a powerhouse panel: Retaining Creative Agency, How Artists and Filmmakers are Leveraging AI with Fine Control. A conversation on how artists, filmmakers, and technologists are integrating AI into their workflows while keeping their voice and vision intact, less about AI as a concept, more about the real decisions and tradeoffs people are navigating in practice. who should come. Ryan Patterson is a video producer, award-winning AI filmmaker, and co-founder of Queen One Studios, an AI-native production studio based in Toronto, Canada. A creative partner with leading generative AI companies including Runway, Luma, Kling, and ElevenLabs, he has been featured in Variety and Deadline and has spoken at TIFF and Adobe MAX. Lianne Baron is a Toronto-based creative technologist and immersive experience designer who spent years on Meta’s AI/AR Partnerships team, leading AR programs across Coachella, Art Basel, and Girls Who Code’s creator education initiative. She’s since produced large-scale drone light shows for artists worldwide. She’s also a working painter, illustrator, and published author of Auragami, with speaking credits at AWE and CES. Dorothy Pang is an award-winning visual artist, filmmaker and creative director with a multidisciplinary background in fashion, tech and acting. Her work has been recognized by Forbes, SXSW, Art Directors Club of New York and Leonardo's Top 50 Women AI Filmmakers. Working at the intersection of AI and traditionally filmed production, Dorothy most recently served as a Creative Lead with 30 Ninjas on an upcoming Hollywood feature film. Tiffani Lee Joseph is an award-winning storyteller and AI filmmaker with 15+ years developing ad campaigns, films, and emerging media. Her work spans writing, directing, visualization, and AI-assisted production for studios, brands, and media companies. She has served as a Senior Visualization Artist for major studio productions, Consulting Producer and AI Content Specialist at A&E Factual Studios, AI Artist and Creative Collaborator for Meta, Creative Technologist for REVOLT Media, and a founding member of Machine Cinema NYC.
