Beyond Tomorrow Impact Series 2: Can We Innovate Without Costing the Earth?

On behalf of Michelle Jadormeo, founder of Beyond Tomorrow Impact, we would like to invite everyone to Series 2 of our Youth Leadership Seminar on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Two young innovators whose work reaches from Earth’s orbit to the pili trees of the Philippines will join young leaders in Toronto and online to answer one question: Can we innovate without costing the Earth? Our guest speakers Gaia Roncalli is an Italian space engineer and the Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Ecosmic. Ecosmic’s software warns satellite operators when a satellite risks colliding with space debris, and it now helps keep more than 60 satellites safe. Before founding Ecosmic, she worked with the European Space Agency, Airbus Defence and Space, and Thales Alenia Space. Mark Kennedy Bantugon is a Filipino engineer, inventor, and the CEO of Pili AdheSeal Inc. He turns waste resin from the pili tree into Pili Seal, an eco-friendly sealant for aircraft fuel tanks. It is a circular-economy innovation, made from a material that would otherwise be thrown away.
