Learn, Tinker, and Create with MakeIT at Libraries! Explore digital fabrication together as we create our own music box using MDF laser-cut pieces. From assembling the parts to adding on personal touches, members can enjoy the experience of tinkering and bring home a customised music box they built themselves. ⚠️Note: There will be a short demonstration of the laser cutting machine in action by the instructor. The machine is a fully enclosed, Class 1 safety-certified laser cutting and engraving machine designed with safety in mind. IMPORTANT Each member must be accompanied by 1 caregiver, except for members who require 2 caregivers’ assistance. About MakeIT at Libraries National Library Board’s free-for-public makerspace introduces the wonder of digital and technology-based creativity to all library members. Try your hand at emerging technology like 3D printing, robotics, and other forms of tech-based tinkering. The best part? No prior experience needed! All equipment and consumables are provided.
