The feed has ended. What's next? 24 hours of building the post-algorithmic web at Texas Tech University. HackWesTX is the largest student-run hackathon in West Texas. For 24 hours, a few hundred students build and ship real projects together. First hackathon or fiftieth, you belong here. This year's theme is Beyond the Feed. Stop scrolling and start building the tech that comes next. Work with industry mentors, hit the workshops, and make something that matters. Food, swag, mentors, and over $5,000 in prizes are on us. Apple Silicon is now a real platform for running AI models locally, but macOS lacks the file-system monitoring tools that Linux and BSD have. Build native macOS utilities that track file-system and block-storage health, I/O performance in GB/s, capacity, and per-user quotas across local APFS and shared NFS/pNFS volumes, with clear dashboards and alerts for admins. Any native language works (Swift, Rust, Go, C/C++, Python). Ship an open-source repo with build steps and a short demo. Not a track, a surprise.
