🚨 Hackathons are everywhere — you just don’t know it yet.

Hey, I’m Keanu. Before uni, I had zero clue hackathons even happened in the UK — let alone near me up north in Sheffield. I thought they were mystical, scrappy events that only happened in America or in San Francisco. But once I stumbled into my first one (accidentally won it lol), I was hooked.

5 hackathons later, I've travelled to several unis, pulled all-nighters coding with groups of strangers I barely knew, and twice won prizes with our half-baked apps.

Lately I’ve been stumbling across so many hackathons. I keep spamming my hackathon friends on Discord like “yo this one looks sick, you in?” — but honestly, I’ve lost track of who I’ve told what, and it’s turning into chaos.

So this is why I've started Hackathon Radar.
It’s a weekly-ish newsletter for students like you — people who want to build cool stuff fast, learn weird and wonderful things, and maybe win a few hackathons — or at least come back with cool memories, better skills, and a half-working app.

Every issue includes:

  • 🚀 Upcoming UK & EU hackathons you should totally apply to
  • 🧠 Tips, tricks & survival guides
  • 📓 Behind-the-scenes diaries from the hackathon trenches (sometimes there are pizza reviews)

This is the kind of thing I wish I had when I was starting out. So if you’re into hacking, coding, competing, travelling, or just doing techy things with cool people, smash your email in the box below.

Let’s go build weird stuff and maybe win some swag.
Catch you in your inbox.
